Caipiroska, Caipivodka or Caipirodka are the names of the same Brazilian cocktail made from vodka and sugar syrup and lime juice. Caipiroska is very similar to another national drink of Brazil – Caipirinha. The only difference between these two cocktails is the latter uses Brazilian cachaça instead of vodka. It is rumoured that the Caipiroska created in London when a Barman ran out of cachaça whilst making Caipirinha and successfully replaced it with vodka. The cocktail has went on to become almost as popular as the original Caipirinha.
